ASJA Names “Little Boy Blue” One of Year’s Best Nonfiction Books

Little Boy Blue coverMy cup is seriously runnething over.

Today, the American Society of Journalists and Authors announced the winners of its 2013 writing competition. Little Boy Blue earned an honorable mention for outstanding general nonfiction book of the year. It was among just five books cited.

This is the fourth award or nomination that Little Boy Blue has received in the past couple of months. It won the 2012 Merial Human-Animal Bond Award from the Dog Writers Association of America and was named one of four DWAA finalists for best general interest or reference book of the year. Little Boy Blue also is currently one of five finalists for best pet book of the year in the Foreword Reviews competition for titles from small publishers.

I am so grateful for all of the critical acclaim that Little Boy Blue is receiving. It is wonderful to see a work that I care so passionately about being recognized.
